CLAAS Id75E1h / 75E1h (334) – TR1 (A57-1): Short circuit or open circuit on range C solenoid valve (SVC)

The transmission control system has detected an electrical fault (either a broken wire/open circuit or a short to ground/power) in the circuit controlling the solenoid responsible for engaging Range C in the robotized transmission.

   Inspect the Range C solenoid valve (SVC / Y339-3 / Y308) for physical damage.

   Check the connectors and continuity of the wiring harness linking the TR1 (A57-1) module to the Range C solenoid for rubbed or broken wires.

   Check the internal resistance of the solenoid coil and verify fuses, power supply, and ground at the solenoid connector.

   Test the 'Auto 5' transmission module using the CLAAS Robotised Ranges Simulator tool to rule out internal ECU failure.

   Access the Transmission Valve Block

   Locate the transmission hydraulic control block where the range solenoids (SVA, SVB, SVC, SVD) are mounted.

   Test the Circuit

   Disconnect the harness from the Range C (SVC) solenoid. Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the solenoid pins. If the circuit is open (infinite resistance) or shorted (zero resistance), the solenoid coil has failed internally.

   Test the Harness

   If the solenoid tests within specification, check the wiring harness back to the TR1 (A57-1) module for continuity. Repair any damaged wiring or corroded pins.

   Simulate the Module

   If the wiring and solenoid are both good, connect the CLAAS 'Auto 5' simulator tool (60 05 033 249) to the transmission control wiring. Toggle the Range C switch on the simulator. If the module fails to output the correct voltage to the SVC channel, the TR1 (A57-1) module is faulty.

   Replace Faulty Component

   Replace the Range C solenoid valve or the TR1 module depending on the test results.

   Calibrate

   After replacing transmission components, clear the fault codes and perform any required transmission calibrations or program version checks as specified in the measurement files.
