Id75E3h / 75E3h (336)

CLAAS Id75E3h / 75E3h (336) – Sender module TR1 (A57-1) / "Auto 5" ECU: Inconsistant “Auto 5” analog readings.

Issue description

The system is detecting an inconsistency or erratic analog signal reading coming from the transmission/range sensors. This fault does not trigger an audio warning and does not request an "ISC" reset, but it can force the tractor into a degraded operating mode (e.g., only operating at idle or locking out certain transmission ranges).

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 410
  • Arion 420 CIS
  • Arion 430
  • Arion 510
  • Arion 640
  • Ares series
  • Axos series
  • Celtis series

Check the cause

  1. Check for a possible short circuit between the accelerator sensor harness and range sensors A and B

  2. Check for a possible short circuit between the clutch sensor harness and range sensors C and D

  3. Check the "Auto 5" module itself (often referenced in the manual alongside tool/part no. 60 05 033 249) to see if the internal board has failed.

Repair steps

  1. Safety First

Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical spikes.

  2. Harness Inspection

Visually and electrically inspect the wiring harnesses connecting the accelerator sensor to range sensors A and B. Look for rubbed-through insulation, pinched wires, or melted connectors. Repair or replace any damaged wiring.

  3. Clutch Sensor Inspection

Repeat the same visual and multimeter continuity checks on the wiring harness between the clutch sensor and range sensors C and D.

  4. Module Access

If the wiring is completely intact and no short circuits are found, the fault is likely a hardware failure within the Auto 5 module. Locate the Auto 5 module (on most models, it is mounted behind the driver's seat on the control board).

  5. Module Replacement

Disconnect the harness connectors from the Auto 5 module and unbolt it from its mounting bracket. Install the replacement module. Note: These boxes are highly sensitive to moisture; ensure the mounting area is dry and sealed.

  6. Calibration

A new or refurbished Auto 5 module must be calibrated and "taught" its specific functions (transmission, EHR, suspended front axle, etc.) using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS).
