Issue description

Indicates that the electronic calibration procedure for the Revershift (hydraulic clutchless reverser/shuttle system) is currently in progress. If persistently logged or prevents normal operation, it means the calibration routine is stuck, interrupted, or cannot complete successfully because a sensor is providing conflicting data.

Check the cause

  1. Check for related TR1 fault codes that indicate why the calibration might be failing (e.g., Id75FBh for paddle position conflicts or Id75D6h for inconsistent clutch pedal position)

  2. Inspect the physical condition of the Revershift lever (S171) to ensure the paddles are not sticking and are returning to their neutral positions properly

  3. Check for a possible short circuit to 12V or an open circuit on the harnesses connecting the reverser lever (S171) to the TR1 module (specifically terminal pins 19 and 30)

  4. Use the official CLAAS diagnostic tool (tool n° 60 05 033 249) to check the TR1 module's live data to see what position the module thinks the lever and clutch are in

Repair steps

  1. Attempt to Complete Calibration

    Ensure all tractor prerequisites for calibration are met (engine running, transmission fluid at operating temperature, parking brake applied). Allow the system to finish the routine.

  2. Clear and Reset

    If the tractor is stuck in this state, clear all error codes from the TR1 module. Turn the battery master switch off, wait, and turn it back on. Restart the tractor to see if the anomaly returns.

  3. Test the S171 Lever

    If the code persists or calibration immediately halts, test the voltage outputs of the Reverser lever (S171). It should output 12V when in the forward position and 0V when in a position other than forward. If the lever outputs inconsistent states (e.g., forward and neutral simultaneously), the lever assembly is internally shorted and must be replaced.

  4. Check the Clutch Potentiometer

    If the calibration is hanging due to missing clutch data, test the clutch pedal position potentiometer (R73) and the bottom-of-clutch contact (Z152). Replace if the signal is erratic.

  5. Module Replacement/Reflash

    If the wiring, lever, and clutch sensors are all functioning perfectly but the TR1 module remains stuck in a calibration loop, the A57-1 module itself may require a software update or replacement.
