CLAAS Id75FCh / 75FCh (361) – TR1 (A57-1) / Auto 5: Paddle in forward gear (or reverse) and paddle in neutral at the same time.
Issue description
The system is simultaneously receiving a signal that the tractor is in a directional gear (forward or reverse) and a signal that it is in neutral, indicating an inconsistent or conflicting electrical signal coming from the reverser lever (Revershift lever).

Check the cause
Verify the physical and electrical operation of the reverser lever (S171).
Inspect the wiring harness connecting the reverser lever to the Auto 5 module for open circuits or short-circuits to 12V (especially on terminal pins 19 or 30).
Test the Auto 5 transmission control module using the official CLAAS diagnostic tool to rule out internal failure.
Repair steps
Inspect the Reverser Lever (S171)
Access the reverser lever on the steering column. Check the component's resistance and adjustment.
Test Voltages
With the master switch on, test the inputs at the TR1 (A57-1) connector. The forward signal should read 12V when in forward and 0V in other positions. The neutral signal should read 12V when in neutral/raised and 0V otherwise.
Repair Wiring
If multiple 12V signals are being sent simultaneously due to a wire chafe or short circuit, repair the damaged harness.
Replace the Lever
If the wiring is intact but the switch itself is internally shorted (sending both neutral and forward/reverse signals), replace the S171 reverser lever.
Test/Replace the Auto 5 Module
If the lever and wiring test perfectly, connect the Auto 5 module to CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249. If the module fails the diagnostic test, replace the Auto 5 module.
Reset
Perform an 'ISC' reset to clear the audio alarm and restore normal transmission operation.
