CLAAS Id7629h / 7629h (410) – TR2 (A57-2): Full left steering position not validated when configuring the steering angle sensor (B117)

Issue description

This code is triggered during the calibration/configuration of the tractor's steering system. It indicates that the system failed to record or validate the maximum left-hand mechanical stop limit from the steering angle sensor (B117).

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 950
  • Arion 510

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the physical condition and mounting of the steering angle sensor (B117) on the steering axle.

  2. Inspect the wiring harness and connectors between the steering angle sensor (B117) and the TR2 (A57-2) module for any breaks, chafing, or corrosion.

  3. Verify the voltage of the steering angle sensor (B117) is operating within the acceptable range of 0.5V to 4.5V.

Repair steps

  1. Return system to normal mode

Return the system to normal mode by pressing the differential lock button.

  2. Turn wheels fully left

Turn the steering wheel so the wheels are fully to the left (resting against the left mechanical stop).

  3. Validate left position

Validate this position by pressing the differential locking button.

  4. Validate straight position

Set the wheels straight and validate the wheel in-line position (straight ahead).

  5. Validate right position

Turn the wheels fully to the right and validate the right-hand mechanical stop position to finish the calibration.
