Id762Ah / 762Ah (411)

CLAAS Id762Ah / 762Ah (411) – Transmission Module TR2 (A57-2): Steering System Calibration Procedural Error

Issue description

Procedural error during the calibration of the tractor's steering system, indicating the 'wheel in line' (straight-ahead) position was not validated or saved by the operator/technician while configuring the steering angle sensor (B117).

Applies to these machines

  • CLAAS Axion 850 - 810 series
  • CLAAS Arion 650 - 620 series
  • CLAAS Arion 550 - 530 series
  • CLAAS Arion 640 - 510 series

Check the cause

  1. Verify that the tractor is actively in the steering calibration mode.

  2. Visually confirm that the front wheels are physically set to the exact straight-ahead position.

  3. Ensure the differential lock button (which acts as the Enter/Validate key during this procedure) is functioning correctly and communicating with the module.

Repair steps

  1. Set wheels straight

Turn the steering wheel to set the front wheels perfectly straight (wheel in line position).

  2. Validate position

Validate this straight-ahead position by pressing the differential lock button.

  3. Proceed to next calibration step

Immediately proceed to the next step of the calibration to prevent subsequent faults (like Id762Bh): turn the wheels fully to the right and validate the right-hand mechanical stop position.

  4. Return to normal mode

Return to normal operating mode by pressing the differential lock button once the calibration sequence is complete.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Steering Angle Sensor (Component ID: B117)

Required if the calibration repeatedly fails because the sensor cannot read the position.
