CLAAS 762Ch – Claas Tr2 A57 2 Transmission Module: Steering Angle Sensor (B117) Voltage Outside 0.5V and 4.5V - Module 2

Issue description

The transmission module TR2 (A57-2) detects that the voltage of the steering angle sensor (B117) is outside the normal range of 0.5V to 4.5V. This causes the module to interpret the steering angle as 0°, which may affect the proper operation of the steering system. The diagnostic lamp blinks to indicate this condition.

Check the cause

  1. The steering angle sensor (B117)

  2. The wiring between the steering angle sensor (B117) and the transmission module TR2 (A57-2)

Repair steps

  1. Inspect

Inspect the steering angle sensor (B117) for physical damage or loose connections.

  2. Check

Check the wiring between the steering angle sensor (B117) and the transmission module TR2 (A57-2) for continuity and proper connections.

  3. Test

Test the voltage output of the steering angle sensor (B117) using a multimeter to confirm it is within the 0.5V to 4.5V range.
