CLAAS Id762Fh / 762Fh (416) – TR2 (Transmission Control Module): Error on high pressure braking.

Issue description

The system detects that the high-pressure braking circuit pressure is < 70 bar during initialization. When this code is triggered, the tractor enters a degraded mode. The transmission is limited to gear B6, and the engine speed is restricted to 300 rpm. The system will attempt to pump for 15 seconds when starting the tractor to build pressure.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 Series
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 900 Series
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 950
  • Arion 500 Series
  • Arion 600 Series
  • Arion 510
  • Arion 640
  • Arion 650

Check the cause

  1. Check the service brakes hydraulic circuit for physical leaks, damaged pipes, or selector valve issues.

  2. Check the high-pressure braking pressure sensor (CCN: B233 or B368) for measurement consistency and ensure it is not disconnected or shorted.

  3. Check the high-pressure braking solenoid valve (CCN: Y329) to ensure it is opening correctly and receiving proper power supply.

  4. Inspect the rear service brake pressure accumulator (CCN: 5063) to ensure it is not torn, faulty, or failing to hold a charge.

  5. Check the wiring harnesses and connectors for the sensor (B233/B368), solenoid (Y329), and transformer (V24) for continuity, proper power supply, and signal integrity (look for open circuits or short-circuits to ground/12V).

  6. Check the voltage delivered by the transformer (V24) and test the Auto 5 module using CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249.

Repair steps

  1. Depressurize the System

Safely relieve hydraulic pressure using the braking system decompression screw (CCN: 6062) before opening the circuit.

  2. Repair Leaks / Wiring

Fix any identified hydraulic leaks or repair damaged wiring harnesses leading to the TR2 module.

  3. Replace Faulty Components

If the pressure sensor (B233/B368) is providing erratic or out-of-range readings (e.g., reading 2 to 4 bar higher than actual circuit pressure), replace it. If the solenoid valve (Y329) fails to actuate, replace the valve/coil. If the accumulator (5063) is blown, replace it to restore the circuit's ability to hold > 70 bar.

  4. Re-pressurize and Initialize

After repair, restart the vehicle. Depress the brake pedals to inflate the brake accumulators.

  5. Clear Codes

The error code should transition to inactive once the pressure in the rear brake circuit rises above the accumulator inflation start threshold (> 70 bar) during the initialization phase. Clear the stored codes via the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS).
