CLAAS Id7635h / 7635h (422) – TR2 (A57-2) Transmission Module: Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor Out of Bounds
Issue description
The control unit detects that the transmission oil temperature provided by the sensor is either < 24 °C or > 150 °C, indicating a sensor or circuit failure.

Check the cause
Inspect the Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor (Component B123), its wiring harness, and the connector for an open circuit or a short circuit to ground/12V.
If the sensor and wiring are intact, test the 'Auto 5' Module (TR2 / A57-2) using CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249.
Repair steps
Locate Sensor B123
Find the transmission/hydraulic oil temperature sensor (B123) on the transmission housing.
Inspect Wiring
Check the wiring harness leading to the TR2 (A57-2) module for chafing, breaks, or corrosion at the connector pins.
Test the Sensor
Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the B123 sensor. If it reads completely open (infinite resistance) or shorted (zero resistance), the sensor has failed internally.
Replace the Sensor
Clean the area around the sensor. Drain the transmission oil below the level of the sensor port (or be prepared to swap the sensor quickly). Unscrew the faulty B123 sensor, install the new sensor (M14x1.5 thread), tighten it to the standard torque specification, and reconnect the wiring harness.
Module Testing
If replacing the sensor does not clear the fault, connect CLAAS tool n° 60 05 033 249 to test the 'Auto 5' module. If the module fails the test, it must be replaced and reprogrammed.
Finalize
Top up the transmission fluid to the correct level, clear the fault codes, and test drive the tractor to ensure the temperature registers correctly.
