CLAAS Id763Ah / 763Ah (427) – TR2 (Transmission Control Module 2): Physical error on the CAN network. At least one of the tractor computers is not detected or CAN network overload.

The Powertrain CAN bus is experiencing a physical layer issue (such as a short circuit, open circuit, or missing terminating resistor) or a specific module on the network is failing to broadcast its presence, causing the network to overload or drop communication. This fault triggers an audio warning and requests an 'ISC' reset.

   Scan the network using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) or Win Metadiag© to check the Powertrain CAN Bus and identify if any other modules are reporting communication losses.

   Verify the physical integrity of the CAN bus terminating resistors (shunts) located behind the instrument panel, behind the operator's seat, or under the left-hand console.

   Inspect the Powertrain CAN bus wiring harness for chafing, corrosion at connectors, or pinched wires that could cause a short-to-ground or short-to-power.

   Disconnect modules on the Powertrain CAN bus one by one to see if the network overload clears, isolating a shorted TR2 module or other faulty ECU.

   Perform an ISC Reset

   Perform an 'ISC' reset via the diagnostic interface to see if the module recovers from a temporary software overload.

   Repair Wiring/Shunts

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a damaged wiring loom or a burnt-out terminating resistor (shunt), repair the wiring break or replace the shunt to restore the standard 60-ohm network resistance.

   Replace the TR2 Module

   If the wiring and shunts are intact but the TR2 module (A057-2 / A142) remains undetected or is actively crashing the bus, the module has suffered an internal hardware failure and must be replaced.

   Module Configuration

   If the TR2 module is replaced, you must configure the new module using specific tractor parameters in Win Metadiag© (using CLAAS tool no. 60 05 033 249).
