Id763Dh / 763Dh (430)

CLAAS Id763Dh / 763Dh (430) – TR2 (A57-2) Transmission Module / Auto 5 module: The unit 12 V supply voltage is less than 7 V after switching on the ignition.

Issue description

The control module is detecting a severe voltage drop (below 7 volts) on its switched 12V power supply circuit immediately after the ignition is turned on. This indicates a weak battery, a severe wiring issue (high resistance, corrosion, or short), or an internal failure within the module itself.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 820
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 610
  • Arion 630

  • Ares 567
  • Ares 607
  • Ares 806
  • Celtis Series

Check the cause

  1. Verify that the tractor's main battery voltage is sufficient (well above 12V) and does not drop excessively when the ignition is switched on.

  2. Inspect the 12V wiring harnesses and connections supplying the Auto 5 (TR2 A57-2) module after the ignition contact is made.

  3. Check the AUTO 5 board specifically for a solid earth (ground) point, proper supply voltage, and any signs of corrosion on the pins or connectors.

  4. If the wiring and battery are sound, test the module using the official CLAAS Auto 5 diagnostic tools.

Repair steps

  1. Test the Battery

Load-test the battery to ensure it can maintain proper voltage when the tractor's electrical systems wake up. Replace the battery if it is weak.

  2. Inspect the Power Circuit

Trace the switched 12V power wire from the ignition switch to the TR2 (A57-2) module. Look for chafed wires, loose pins, or corroded connectors.

  3. Check Grounds

Locate the earth point for the Auto 5 board. Clean the ground terminal and ensure it is tightly secured to bare metal.

  4. Measure Voltage at the Module

Back-probe the power supply pin at the Auto 5 module connector. Turn the ignition on and observe the voltage. If it reads below 7V at the module but 12V at the battery, there is high resistance in the harness that must be repaired.

  5. Test/Replace the Module

If the harness delivers a full 12V to the connector but the module still logs the Id763Dh fault, the Auto 5 module has an internal hardware failure. It must be sent out for electronic repair or replaced entirely.
