Id763Eh / 763Eh (431)

CLAAS Id763Eh / 763Eh (431) – Auto 5 module (TR2 (A57-2) or TR1 (A57-1)): The 10 V supply to the sensors is not within the ± 5 % tolerance.

Issue description

The reference voltage supplied by the control module to its associated sensors has drifted outside the acceptable 9.5V to 10.5V range, which can skew sensor readings or cause them to drop offline entirely.

Applies to these machines

  • CLAAS Axion 800 Series (e.g., 810, 850)
  • CLAAS Axion 900 Series (e.g., 920, 950)
  • CLAAS Arion 400, 500, and 600 Series (e.g., 420, 510, 640)

Check the cause

  1. Inspect the sensor harnesses and the sensors themselves for a possible short circuit to ground or power

  2. Verify the integrity of the wiring harnesses and their connections to the Auto 5 module

  3. Verify the main power supplies, fuses, and grounds feeding the Auto 5 module

  4. Check the Auto 5 module using the specified CLAAS diagnostic tool/breakout box (Tool No. 60 05 033 249)

Repair steps

  1. Document Codes

Note all error codes present on the tractor, as a shorted sensor on the 10V circuit will often trigger secondary sensor-specific faults.

  2. Inspect Wiring

Check the connectors and test the continuity of the harnesses linking each sensor to the Auto 5 module.

  3. Isolate the Short

Disconnect sensors on the 10V reference circuit one by one. If the 10V supply returns to normal (within ± 5% tolerance) after unplugging a specific sensor, that sensor or its immediate pigtail is shorted and must be replaced.

  4. Test the Auto 5 Module

If the wiring and sensors are intact, connect the CLAAS diagnostic tool (60 05 033 249) to evaluate the module's internal voltage regulation.

  5. Replace if Necessary

If the module itself is failing to output the correct 10V reference voltage internally, replace the "Auto 5" module.

  6. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system, restart the tractor, and operate it to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.
