CLAAS Id765Bh / 765Bh (460) – TR2 (A57-2) Transmission Module: Limitation of the Claas Power Management caused by power consumption on the rear PTO (540 or 540 Eco) exceeding transmissible power
Issue description
The tractor's system detects that the implement attached to the rear Power Take-Off (PTO) is drawing more power than the driveline is rated to transmit safely at 540 or 540 Eco RPM. As a system response, the CLAAS Power Management automatically restricts additional power to protect the powertrain.
Applies to these machines
10 machines- Axion 800 Series
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Arion 500 Series
- Arion 600 Series
- Arion 510
- Arion 640
- Arion 400 Series
- Arion 410
- Arion 430
Check the cause
Check for abnormal use of the rear PTO to verify that the operator is not pushing the machine beyond its operational limits.
Inspect the tractor's PTO driveline for mechanical binding, seizing, or internal resistance that could artificially inflate the power consumption reading.
Check the tool coupled to ensure the implement attached is appropriate for the tractor's horsepower and is not jammed or malfunctioning.
Repair steps
Isolate the Implement
Disconnect the currently coupled tool from the rear PTO.
Inspect the Implement
Check the implement for jammed gearboxes, wrapped debris, or dull blades that would cause an excessive power draw.
Test the Tractor
Run the PTO with no load, or couple a known-good, lighter-duty implement to see if the TR2 module still restricts power.
Inspect the PTO Driveline
If the code persists without a heavy load, physically inspect the rear PTO line for mechanical failures (e.g., failing bearings, dragging PTO clutch).
Module Verification
If the mechanical driveline is in perfect condition and the code is erroneous, the TR2 (A57-2) transmission module may be failing or require a software calibration. Replacing or reprogramming the module requires the use of CLAAS special tool n° 60 05 033 249.
