CLAAS Id765Dh / 765Dh (462) – TR2 (A57-2) Transmission Module: Claas Power Management function faulty due to loss of information from engine speed sensor (on PTO clutch housing) or engine speed sensor (on gearbox primary shaft)
Issue description
When this fault is active, the Claas Power Management system restricts additional power and is only available in the C and D transmission ranges.
Applies to these machines
8 machines- CLAAS Axion 810
- CLAAS Axion 820
- CLAAS Axion 830
- CLAAS Axion 840
- CLAAS Axion 850
- CLAAS Arion 410
- CLAAS Arion 430
- CLAAS Arion 510 through 640
Check the cause
Check the physical adjustment and depth of the two engine speed sensors (Component IDs: B228-1 and B228-2)
Check the connectors and continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the sensors to the TR2 module for short-circuits or open circuits
Check the resistance of the B228-1 (PTO clutch housing) and B228-2 (gearbox primary shaft) inductive sensors
Check the 'Auto 5' module using CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249
Repair steps
Access the Sensors
Locate sensor B228-1 on the PTO clutch housing and sensor B228-2 on the gearbox entry/primary shaft.
Measure and Adjust
If a sensor has backed out, it will lose the inductive signal. For sensor B228-2, the original dimension of the sensor's threaded rod in its carrier should be exactly 22.5 mm.
Replace Faulty Sensors
If a sensor fails the resistance check or is physically damaged, remove it from the casing's tapered hole.
Install New Sensor
When fitting a new sensor, smear the threads slightly with Loctite 243 (medium strength threadlocker) while maintaining the exact dimension measured on the previous sensor (e.g., 22.5 mm for B228-2).
Module Replacement
If the sensors and wiring are perfectly functional but the fault persists, replace the "Auto 5" module as dictated by the results from diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249.
