CLAAS Id7681h / 7681h (502) – TR3 module / Auto 5 module: Open circuit on the rear PTO solenoid valve
Issue description
The control system has detected a break in the electrical connection or an internal failure within the solenoid coil itself, preventing electrical current from flowing. As a direct result of this fault, the system defaults to a safe state and the rear PTO is forced OFF.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- CLAAS Axion 800 Series
- CLAAS Axion 900 Series
- CLAAS Arion Series
Check the cause
Check for a possible open circuit in the solenoid valve supply harness.
Inspect the connectors and verify the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the TR3 module to the solenoid.
Check the internal electrical resistance of the rear PTO solenoid valve (Y325) to see if the coil has failed open.
Check the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply, and ground connections.
Check the Auto 5 module using CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249 to rule out a module failure.
Repair steps
Locate the Valve
Identify the rear PTO solenoid valve (Y325) on the tractor's hydraulic block.
Inspect the Connection
Disconnect the wiring harness from the Y325 solenoid. Inspect the pins on both the harness side and the solenoid side for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or debris.
Test the Solenoid
Using a multimeter, measure the resistance across the pins of the Y325 solenoid valve. If the multimeter reads "OL" (open loop/infinite resistance), the solenoid coil is broken internally and the valve must be replaced.
Test the Wiring
If the solenoid tests within normal resistance specifications, use the multimeter to check for continuity on the supply and ground wires from the solenoid connector back to the TR3 / Auto 5 module. Repair any broken wires or chafed sections causing the open circuit.
Test the Module
If both the wiring and the solenoid are in good working order, connect CLAAS diagnostic tool n° 60 05 033 249 to test the Auto 5 module. If the module fails the test, it must be replaced.
Verify Repair
Reconnect all components, clear the fault codes, and engage the rear PTO to ensure the system operates normally and the code does not return.
