CLAAS Id7695h / 7695h (522) – TR3 (A57-3) / Auto 5: Open circuit on the automatic hand brake engaging solenoid valve

The machine cannot engage the automatic hand brake.

   Check for a possible open circuit in the solenoid valve supply harness for component Y323 (activation solenoid valve of the automatic hand brake).

   Measure the resistance of the solenoid valve winding (Y323) to verify if the coil itself has failed (open circuit).

   Test the Auto 5 module using the specific CLAAS diagnostic tool (n° 60 05 033 249) to rule out an internal fault in the transmission controller.

   Locate component

   Locate the automatic hand brake engaging solenoid valve (Component designation: Y323) on the transmission/hydrostatic unit.

   Inspect wiring

   Inspect the wiring harness leading to the Y323 solenoid for any visible breaks, chafing, or disconnected pins.

   Test resistance

   Disconnect the solenoid and use a multimeter to test the resistance of the Y323 solenoid winding. If the winding shows an open circuit (infinite resistance), the solenoid valve must be replaced.

   Connect diagnostic tool

   If the solenoid tests good and the wiring harness has continuity back to the ECU, connect the CLAAS diagnostic tool (n° 60 05 033 249) to the Auto 5 module.

   Replace or repair module

   If the module fails the diagnostic test, the Auto 5 module must be replaced or sent out for repair.

   Verify repair

   Clear the fault codes and test the automatic hand brake engagement to verify the repair.
