CLAAS Id7696h / 7696h (523) – TR3 (A57-3) / Auto 5: Short-circuit to 12V of the automatic hand brake disengaging solenoid valve

The system has detected a 12-volt short circuit on the power supply harness for the solenoid valve (designated as component Y324). The primary symptom of this fault is that the operator cannot engage the automatic hand brake.

   Check for a possible 12V short circuit on the solenoid valve power supply harness (Y324).

   Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the components.

   Test the 'Auto 5' module using the official CLAAS diagnostic tool (Tool No. 60 05 033 249) to determine if the module itself has failed.

   Inspect the wiring harness connected to the automatic hand brake disengaging solenoid valve (Y324) for any visible damage, rubbing, or exposed wires that could cause a short to 12V.

   Disconnect the harness and use a multimeter to test for continuity and verify the absence of a short circuit to power (12V) on the Y324 circuit.

   Repair or replace the wiring harness if a short circuit is found.

   If the harness is intact, connect the CLAAS diagnostic tool (60 05 033 249) to test the 'Auto 5' module.

   If the 'Auto 5' module fails the diagnostic test, replace the module.

   If the module is functioning correctly but the fault persists, replace the automatic hand brake disengaging solenoid valve (Y324).

   Clear the error codes and test the tractor to ensure the automatic hand brake engages properly and the code does not return.
