CLAAS Id7697h / 7697h (524) – TR3 (A57-3) / Auto 5 module: Short-circuit at 12V of the automatic hand brake engaging solenoid valve
Issue description
The system defaults to "Normal operation," meaning the tractor will likely continue to drive, but the automatic engagement of the hand brake is compromised.

Check the cause
Check for a possible 12V short circuit on the power supply harness leading to the automatic hand brake engaging solenoid valve (Component ID: Y323)
Check the 'Auto 5' module using the official CLAAS diagnostic breakout tool (Tool n° 60 05 033 249) to determine if the module itself is internally shorted
Repair steps
Locate Component Y323
Identify the automatic hand brake engaging solenoid valve (Y323) on the transmission/chassis valve block.
Test the Wiring
Disconnect the harness from the Y323 solenoid and the Auto 5 module. Use a multimeter to check for continuity to voltage (12V) on the supply wire.
Repair Harness
If a short to 12V is found in the wiring harness, trace the harness to find the chafed or melted section and repair/replace the wiring.
Test the Auto 5 Module
If the wiring harness tests perfectly fine, connect the CLAAS "Auto 5" input/output control harness tool (60 05 033 249). If the module is outputting a constant 12V to the solenoid when it shouldn't be, the Auto 5 module has failed internally.
Replace and Calibrate
Replace the Auto 5 module if required. Note that a replacement Auto 5 module must be taught/calibrated to the specific tractor's functions (transmission, hydraulics, suspended front axle) upon installation.
Clear Codes
Clear the fault memory and test the automatic hand brake engagement to verify the repair.
