Id769Ah / 769Ah (527)

CLAAS Id769Ah / 769Ah (527) – TR3: Front PTO Solenoid Open Circuit

Issue description

This fault code indicates an open circuit on the front PTO engaging solenoid valve. When this fault is logged, the system responds by immediately stopping the front PTO to prevent damage or unsafe operation.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 Series
  • Axion 850
  • Axion 900 Series
  • Axion 920
  • Axion 950
  • Arion 600 Series
  • Arion 640

Check the cause

  1. Check for a possible open circuit in the solenoid valve power supply harness (Component ID: Y326).

  2. Measure the resistance of the front PTO engaging solenoid valve winding (Y326).

  3. Check the Auto 5 module using the official CLAAS diagnostic tool (Tool No. 60 05 033 249).

Repair steps

  1. Locate solenoid valve

Locate the front PTO engaging solenoid valve (identified as Y326 in the CLAAS Component Numbers / CCN list).

  2. Inspect wiring harness

Inspect the wiring harness connecting to the Y326 solenoid. Look for broken wires, loose pins, or corrosion that could cause an open circuit. Repair the harness if continuity is broken.

  3. Test solenoid resistance

Using a multimeter, test the resistance of the Y326 solenoid valve winding. If the resistance is out of specification (indicating an internal open circuit), the solenoid valve must be replaced.

  4. Test Auto 5 module

If the wiring harness and the solenoid valve both test good, the issue likely lies within the control module. Connect the CLAAS diagnostic tool (Tool No. 60 05 033 249) to test the Auto 5 module.

  5. Replace Auto 5 module

If the diagnostic tool indicates a failure in the Auto 5 module, replace the module.

  6. Clear codes and test

Clear the fault codes and test the front PTO engagement to verify the repair.
