Check the cause
Check for a possible 12V short circuit on the front PTO engaging solenoid valve power supply harness (Component designation: Y326).
Check the resistance of the solenoid valve winding (Y326) to ensure it is not internally shorted.
Test the Auto 5 module using the official CLAAS diagnostic tool (Tool No. 60 05 033 249) to verify if the module itself has been damaged by the short circuit.
Repair steps
Locate Component Y326
Identify the front PTO clutch solenoid valve (Y326) and its associated wiring harness.
Inspect Wiring
Visually and electrically inspect the Y326 harness for rubbed-through insulation, pinched wires, or melted connectors that would cause a short to 12V power. Repair or replace the harness if a short is found.
Test the Solenoid
Disconnect the Y326 solenoid valve and measure its internal resistance with a multimeter. If the resistance is out of specification (indicating an internal short), the solenoid valve must be replaced.
Test the Auto 5 Module
If the wiring and solenoid test fine, connect the CLAAS diagnostic testing tool (60 05 033 249) to the Auto 5 module.
Replace Module
If the Auto 5 module fails the diagnostic test, it must be replaced and reprogrammed.
Clear Codes
After repairs, clear the fault codes and test the operation of the front PTO to ensure the code does not return.
