Id76A0h / 76A0h (711)

CLAAS Id76A0h / 76A0h (711) – REH (A58): Open circuit on the supply of the lifting solenoid valve

Issue description

The control module has detected a lack of electrical continuity (an open circuit) in the power supply wiring or the internal coil of the rear lifting solenoid valve. As a direct system response to this fault, the machine's lifting function becomes inactive to prevent erratic operation.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 Series
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 400 Series
  • Arion 410
  • Arion 420
  • Arion 430

Check the cause

  1. Check the rear lifting solenoid valve (Component Y336): Verify the physical condition of the valve and its electrical connector.

  2. Check the lifting module REH (A58): Ensure the module (typically located under the right-hand console) is securely connected and outputting the correct voltage.

  3. Inspect the wiring harness: Look for breaks, chafing, or disconnected pins between the REH (A58) module and the Y336 solenoid valve that would cause the open circuit.

Repair steps

  1. Safety First

Turn off the tractor ignition and disconnect the battery to prevent short circuits during testing.

  2. Locate Component Y336

Find the rear lifting solenoid valve on the rear hydraulic lift valve block.

  3. Inspect the Connector

Disconnect the electrical plug at the Y336 solenoid. Check the pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-back terminals. Clean if necessary.

  4. Test the Solenoid Coil

Using a multimeter set to Ohms (Ω), measure the resistance across the pins of the solenoid valve itself. If the multimeter reads 'O.L' (out of limits) or infinite resistance, the internal coil has failed open. The solenoid valve must be replaced.

  5. Test the Wiring Harness

If the solenoid coil tests good, trace the wiring back to the REH (A58) module. Perform a continuity test on the supply wire from the module to the valve. Repair any broken wires or replace the damaged harness section.

  6. Verify Repair

Reconnect all components, restore battery power, and turn on the ignition. Clear the fault codes. Test the rear lift functionality. If the code immediately returns and the wiring/solenoid are confirmed good, the REH (A58) module itself may have an internal fault and require replacement.
