CLAAS Id76A1h / 76A1h (712) – REH (A58): Open circuit on the supply of the down solenoid valve
Issue description
When this fault is triggered, the system response is that the rear lifting function becomes inactive.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- CLAAS Axion 800 Series (810, 820, 830, 840, 850)
- CLAAS Arion 600 / 500 Series (510, 530, 550, 620, 640, 650)
- CLAAS Arion 400 Series (410, 420, 430)
Check the cause
Inspect the Y337 rear down/up solenoid valve
Perform a resistance check on the Y337 solenoid valve coil to ensure it is not internally open
Perform a power/intensity check on the supply circuit to verify voltage is reaching the valve
Verify the outputs from the REH (A58) rear lifting module
Repair steps
Locate the Components
Locate the rear lifting down solenoid valve (Y337) on the rear hydraulic control block and the REH lifting module (A58).
Inspect Wiring and Connectors
Disconnect the electrical connector at the Y337 solenoid. Inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or damage. Trace the wiring harness back to the A58 module, looking for chafed, broken, or disconnected wires that would cause an open circuit.
Test the Solenoid Coil
Use a multimeter to measure the resistance across the pins of the Y337 solenoid valve. If the reading shows infinite resistance (OL), the solenoid coil has an internal open circuit and the valve/coil must be replaced.
Test Module Output
If the wiring is intact and the solenoid coil tests within specification, verify that the REH (A58) module is sending the correct voltage/current to the valve when the down command is activated. If the module fails to output the signal, the A58 module itself may be faulty and require replacement.
Clear Codes
After repairing the wiring or replacing the faulty component, cycle the tractor's power and clear the fault codes to restore lifting functionality.
