When this fault is triggered, the system's safety response is to disable the rear hitch, rendering the lifting function inactive.

   Identify the Suspect Components: The fault isolates to the rear lifting up solenoid valve (Y336), the rear lifting down solenoid valve (Y337), or the lifting module itself (REH A58).

   Harness & Connector Inspection: Check the connectors and the continuity of the harnesses linking the REH (A58) module to the Y336 and Y337 solenoid valves.

   Short-Circuit Testing: Probe the wiring harness to check for any short-circuits to 12V power or short-circuits to ground, as well as open circuits.

   Component Resistance: Measure the internal electrical resistance of the Y336 and Y337 solenoid coils to verify they have not internally shorted.

   Power Supply: Check the sources of energy, including fuses, main supply voltage, and ground connections to the REH module.

   Safety First

   Turn off the tractor, lower any implements to the ground (if possible), and ensure the machine is safely parked with the battery disconnected if repairing wiring.

   Locate the Components

   Locate the REH (A58) module (typically located under the right-hand console in the cab) and the rear lifting solenoid valves (Y336 and Y337) on the rear hydraulic control block.

   Inspect Wiring

   Visually inspect the wiring harness running from the cab down to the rear hydraulic block. Look for chafing, pinched wires, or melted insulation.

   Test the Solenoids

   Disconnect the electrical connectors at the Y336 and Y337 solenoids. Using a multimeter, test the resistance across the pins of each solenoid coil. If a coil reads out of specification (showing a dead short), it must be replaced.

   Test the Harness

   With the solenoids and the REH module disconnected, test the harness wires for continuity to ground and continuity to the 12V supply. Repair any damaged sections of the wiring harness.

   Reassemble and Clear Codes

   Reconnect all components. Turn the ignition on and clear the fault codes using the CLAAS control panel or diagnostic tool.

   Test Operation

   Attempt to operate the rear hitch to ensure the lifting function has been restored and the code does not return. If the wiring and solenoids are perfectly intact but the code persists, the REH (A58) module has likely suffered an internal short on its output driver and will require replacement.
