CLAAS Id76B4h / 76B4h (731) – REH (A58): Signal voltage of the right load sensor non valid.

Issue description

The system detects an implausible or missing electrical signal from the right-hand draft/load sensor pin located on the rear linkage. As a system response, the tractor's load control and transport damper functions are rendered inactive.

Check the cause

  1. Ensure there is no mechanical prestress or overload on the right load sensor pin from an implement binding or improper use

  2. Inspect the physical condition of the right draft sensor pin (Component B144-2)

  3. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harness linking the right load sensor to the REH (A58) lifting module

  4. Check for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits in the sensor wiring, and verify the sensor's resistance

  5. Verify the 0V ground and reference voltage supply coming from the REH module

  6. Verify the REH (A58) lifting module itself is receiving proper power and outputting the correct reference voltages

Repair steps

  1. Unload the Linkage

    Lower the rear linkage to the ground and disconnect any implements to remove all physical load from the draft sensing pins.

  2. Inspect Wiring

    Trace the wiring from the right load sensor (B144-2) back to the REH (A58) module. Look for chafed wires, pinched harnesses near the linkage arms, or corroded connector pins. Repair any damaged wiring.

  3. Test the Sensor

    Using a multimeter, test the signal voltage of the right load sensor. If the voltage is out of the specified range (or completely dead) while the reference voltage from the REH module is confirmed good, the sensor has failed internally.

  4. Replace the Sensor

    If the sensor is faulty, remove the retaining hardware securing the right load sensor pin to the linkage assembly, slide the old pin out, and install the new sensor pin.

  5. Clear Codes and Calibrate

    After replacing the sensor or repairing the harness, clear the error codes from the system. You may need to perform a lifting calibration procedure (which triggers code Id76C0h / 743 "Calibrating..." during the process) to teach the REH module the new sensor's zero-load baseline.

  6. Test Operation

    Operate the tractor to ensure the anomaly does not reappear and that load control/transport damping functions are restored.
