Id76C1h / 76C1h (744)

CLAAS Id76C1h / 76C1h (744) – REH (A58) or REH A058: Lifting parameters have been reinitialized (factory parameters).

Issue description

This code indicates that the rear lifting parameters have been automatically reset to their factory default settings. This happens as a direct result of a problem or failure occurring during the lifting calibration process.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 Series (810, 850)
  • Axion 900 Series (920, 950)
  • Arion 400 Series (410, 430)
  • Arion 500 Series (510)
  • Arion 600 Series (640, 650)

Check the cause

  1. Check the REH (A58) lifting module directly for signs of physical damage or water ingress.

  2. Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the REH module to the tractor's CAN bus. Look for short-circuits or open circuits.

  3. Verify the sources of energy to the module (fuses, 12V power supply, and solid ground connections).

  4. Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibration files using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS).

Repair steps

  1. Resolve Underlying Electrical Faults

If your diagnostic checks revealed any blown fuses, damaged wiring, or poor grounds at the A58 module, repair these first. A voltage drop during calibration will trigger this code.

  2. Re-run Lifting Calibration

Because the parameters were wiped due to a calibration failure, you must successfully complete a new lifting calibration. Connect the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) or use the onboard terminal (depending on the model) to initiate the rear linkage calibration procedure.

  3. Verify Parameter Retention

Once calibration is complete, cycle the tractor's key power. Check if the REH module retains the new parameters or if it throws the 76C1h code again.

  4. Module Replacement

If the wiring is perfect but the calibration continually fails or the module refuses to save the parameters to its EEPROM memory, the REH (A58) module has an internal hardware failure and must be replaced.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Rear Electro-hydraulic Hoist (REH) Module

    A58 or REH A058

The exact 10-digit CLAAS part number will vary depending on your specific tractor model and serial number. A replacement REH module is not plug-and-play. It must be flashed with the correct software version for your tractor and fully calibrated using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) after installation.
