CLAAS Id76D0h / 76D0h (613) – SFA (A102) module: Unable to read tractor-specific parameters in EEPROM memory.
Issue description
The control module has lost or cannot access its stored configuration data (vehicle-specific parameters) from its internal EEPROM memory. This can happen if the control unit was reset to a default parameter set due to an improper shut-off, a loose contact, or a battery buffer failure. The system defaults to a degraded mode, and the front suspension becomes non-functional and is locked in its current position.

Check the cause
Inspect the physical condition of the SFA (A102) module directly
Check the connectors and the continuity of the harnesses linking to the SFA component for any short-circuits or open circuits
Check the sources of energy to the module, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections for loose contacts or power interruptions
Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibration using the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS)
Repair steps
Resolve Power Issues
Ensure the tractor's battery voltage is stable and that there are no loose connections at the SFA (A102) module harness that could cause improper shut-offs.
Connect Diagnostic Tool
Connect the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS) or ServiceTool to the tractor's diagnostic port.
Reload Parameters
Because the control unit may have been reset to a default parameter set, use the ServiceTool to manually enter the vehicle-specific parameter set or reload it from a backup.
Recalibrate
If the parameters are successfully loaded, perform a calibration of the suspended front axle.
Replace Component
If the EEPROM memory is physically corrupted and will not accept or retain the parameter flash, the SFA (A102) module must be replaced.
Parts you might need
(1)SFA (A102) Suspended Front Axle Module / Front Axle Suspension Control Unit
Exact part numbers vary strictly by the tractor's specific model, year, and chassis serial number (hardware reference numbers 793449, 1471461 appear in CDS reports). A direct lookup in the CLAAS Parts Doc catalog using the machine's VIN is required. A new module MUST be programmed with tractor-specific parameters and calibrated using CDS.
