CLAAS Id76DBh / 76DBh (624) – SFA (A102): Short-circuit on the supply of the transfer proportional solenoid valve (solenoid valve 3)
Issue description
The system detects a short circuit on the supply line to this specific valve. As a safety and operational response, the suspended front axle becomes non-functional and is locked in its current position. The system will also issue a "Drive slow" warning to the operator.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- CLAAS Arion 640-510
- CLAAS Arion 650-530
- CLAAS Axion 800
- CLAAS Axion 810
- CLAAS Axion 850
- CLAAS Axion 950-920
Check the cause
Check the connectors and the continuity of the harnesses linking the SFA (A102) module to the Y331 solenoid.
Check specifically for short-circuits (to ground or power) and open circuits in the wiring.
Check the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections.
Check the resistance of the Y331 solenoid coil to see if it is internally shorted.
Check the component's mechanical operating conditions (e.g., hydraulic pressure, temperature, or mechanical seizing of the valve spool).
Repair steps
Safely park the tractor and turn off the engine. (Note: The suspension will be locked in its current position).

Disconnect the electrical connector to the Y331 solenoid and inspect for water ingress, damaged pins, or corrosion.

Using a multimeter, perform the wiring continuity and resistance checks outlined above.

If the wiring harness is damaged, repair or replace the affected wiring.
If the wiring harness is damaged, repair or replace the affected wiring.
If the wiring is intact but the solenoid coil fails the resistance test (indicating an internal short-circuit), replace the transfer proportional solenoid valve (Y331).
If the wiring is intact but the solenoid coil fails the resistance test (indicating an internal short-circuit), replace the transfer proportional solenoid valve (Y331).
After replacing the component, verify if any program version compatibility checks, settings adjustments, or suspension calibrations are required via the CLAAS Diagnostic System (CDS).

Parts you might need
(1)Transfer proportional solenoid valve 3 (Y331)
Ensure you are replacing 'Solenoid Valve 3' (Transfer proportional), as the block also contains Solenoid 1 (Supply), Solenoid 2 (Down), and Solenoid 4 (Cumulator proportional), which have different functions and potentially different specifications.
