CLAAS Id76DDh / 76DDh (626) – SFA (A102): Open circuit on the On/Off supply solenoid valve (solenoid valve 1)
Issue description
Non-functional front suspension that becomes locked in its current position.
Applies to these machines
3 machines- CLAAS Axion 800 Series (e.g., Axion 850, 810)
- CLAAS Axion 900 Series (e.g., Axion 950-920)
- CLAAS Arion 500/600 Series (e.g., Arion 640-510)
Check the cause
Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the SFA (A102) module to the Y321 solenoid valve
Test the circuit specifically for open circuits or short-circuits
Check the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections to the valve
Measure the internal electrical resistance of the Y321 solenoid valve coil to verify if the coil itself has failed (open circuit internally)
Inspect the valve for mechanical seizing, and check operating conditions like temperature and hydraulic pressure
Repair steps
Document and Analyze
Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze if this code is interacting with others (e.g., CAN bus errors) to identify the root origin of the anomaly.
Perform Electrical Testing
Using a multimeter, carry out the continuity and resistance measurements on the Y321 solenoid valve and its wiring harness as outlined in the diagnostic checks.
Repair or Replace
If the wiring harness is broken, repair the open circuit. If the solenoid valve coil (Y321) fails the resistance test (shows infinite resistance/open circuit), replace the solenoid valve component.
Clear Codes
Once the repair is made, clear all error codes from the SFA module using the METADIAG / CLAAS Diagnostic System.
Test Operation
Try the tractor again, specifically cycling the front axle suspension, to ensure the anomaly does not reappear and the suspension is no longer locked.
Parts you might need
(1)Supply solenoid valve 1 (Suspended front axle)
Y321Because the exact OEM part number varies depending on the specific tractor model (Arion vs. Axion) and serial number break, you must look up the physical part using the Y321 component identifier in the CLAAS parts catalog for the specific machine.
