CLAAS Id76E2h / 76E2h (631) – SFA (A102): Open circuit on the cumulator proportional solenoid valve (solenoid valve 4)

The control module is unable to detect electrical continuity to the solenoid responsible for adjusting the front axle suspension stiffness (designated in wiring diagrams as component Y332). The front axle suspension will become non-functional and will lock in its current position.

   Inspect the wiring harness between the SFA (A102) module and the Y332 solenoid valve for disconnected plugs, broken wires, or chafing that would cause an open circuit.

   Inspect the electrical connector at the Y332 solenoid for corrosion, pushed-out pins, or moisture ingress.

   Test the solenoid resistance across the pins of the Y332 solenoid coil using a multimeter. If the reading is infinite (OL), the coil has an internal open circuit and must be replaced.

   Depressurize the System

   Safely park the tractor on level ground. Before working on the hydraulic valve block, relieve the hydraulic pressure from the front axle suspension system (using the suspension system decompression screw, noted in Axion manuals as screw 6063).

   Locate the Valve Block

   Locate the front axle suspension control valve block, typically mounted near the front axle assembly.

   Identify the Component

   Locate solenoid valve 4 (Y332 - Suspension stiffness adjustment solenoid).

   Remove the Faulty Coil

   Disconnect the electrical harness. Remove the retaining nut at the end of the solenoid cartridge and slide the faulty electromagnetic coil off the valve stem.

   Install the New Coil

   Slide the replacement coil onto the cartridge, ensuring it is seated correctly. Install and tighten the retaining nut.

   Reconnect and Test

   Reconnect the electrical harness. Start the tractor, clear the fault codes from the SFA module, and cycle the front axle suspension to verify proper operation and ensure the suspension is no longer locked.
