CLAAS Id76E7h / 76E7h (636) – SFA (A102): Short-circuit to ground of the cumulator proportional solenoid valve (solenoid valve 4)
Issue description
The front axle suspension becomes non-functional and is locked in its current position.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- Axion 800 Series
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Axion 900 Series
- Axion 920
- Axion 950
Check the cause
Locate the cumulator proportional solenoid valve 4 (component Y332).
Inspect the wiring harness running from the SFA (A102) control module to the Y332 solenoid for pinched wires, chafed insulation, or exposed copper grounding against the tractor chassis.
Disconnect the Y332 solenoid and use a multimeter to test the harness side for a short to ground.
Test the solenoid coil itself to determine if the short is internal to the valve.
Repair steps
Access the Valve Block
Locate the front axle suspension hydraulic control block where the Y332 cumulator solenoid valve is mounted.
Isolate the Short
Disconnect the electrical connector at the Y332 solenoid.
Repair Wiring (if applicable)
If the multimeter test shows a short to ground on the harness side, trace the wiring back to the SFA (A102) module. Repair or replace the damaged section of the wiring harness and secure it away from pinch points.
Replace Solenoid (if applicable)
If the solenoid coil itself is internally shorted to ground, remove the retaining nut/hardware, slide the old coil off the valve stem (or replace the entire cartridge valve depending on the specific block design), and install the new Y332 solenoid.
Clear Codes and Test
Reconnect the solenoid. Turn on the tractor, clear the error codes from the system, and test the front axle suspension to ensure it unlocks and resumes normal functionality.
