CLAAS Id76F6h / 76F6h – BDG (A103): No message was transmitted by the MFT module although the configuration indicates its presence

Communication failure on the tractor's CAN bus network indicating the Cebis terminal module (MFT A30) is failing to transmit. As a result, the Cebis terminal module and its associated functions become inactive or operate in a degraded mode.

   Check the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network: Look for physical damage to the network lines.

   Check the Cebis terminal module MFT (A30): Ensure the screen is powering on and not physically damaged.

   Check the CAN network communication module BDG (A103).

   Wiring & Harnesses: Check the connectors and continuity of harnesses linking the BDG and MFT components.

   Circuit Testing: Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the CAN lines.

   Power & Ground: Check the sources of energy to the Cebis terminal (fuses, supply voltage, and ground connections).

   Software: Check compatibility of program versions, settings, and calibration.

   Inspect Power and Ground

   Begin by testing the power supply and ground pins at the Cebis terminal (MFT A30) connector. If the terminal is not receiving power, it cannot broadcast messages on the CAN bus. Replace blown fuses or repair broken power/ground wires as necessary.

   Test CAN Bus Continuity

   If power and ground are present, use a multimeter to test the CAN High and CAN Low lines between the Cebis terminal (MFT A30) and the CAN network communication module (BDG A103). Repair any open circuits, or shorts to ground/power.

   Inspect Connectors

   Disconnect the harnesses at both the MFT and BDG modules. Inspect the pins for corrosion, pushed-back pins, or moisture ingress. Clean and reseat the connectors.

   Component Repair/Replacement

   If the wiring harness, power, and ground are all verified to be in good working order, the fault lies internally within either the Cebis terminal (MFT A30) or the BDG (A103) module. The Cebis terminal is highly susceptible to internal inverter, display, or microcontroller failures. You can either replace the terminal with a new OEM unit or send it to a specialized agricultural electronics repair center.

   If a module is replaced, verify software compatibility and perform any necessary calibration via the CLAAS diagnostic tool.
