CLAAS Id76F9h / 76F9h – BDG (A103): No message has been transmitted by the DBD module for at least 5 seconds.
Issue description
The CAN network communication module has lost communication with the DBD (Dashboard/Instrument Panel) module over the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network for more than 5 seconds. As a result, the instrument panel module and its associated functions may be lost, inactive, or operating in a degraded mode.

Check the cause
Check the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus network for integrity (look for shorts to ground, shorts to 12V, or open circuits).
Check the instrument panel module DBD (A101) for proper power and ground supply.
Check the CAN network communication module BDG (A103) and its harness connections.
Repair steps
Verify the Fault
Confirm that code Id76F9h is active and observe if the dashboard (DBD A101) is blank, unresponsive, or missing data.
Visual Inspection
Inspect the wiring harness and connectors at the back of the DBD (A101) instrument panel and at the BDG (A103) module. Look for backed-out pins, corrosion, or moisture ingress.
Power & Ground Test
Using a multimeter, verify that the DBD (A101) instrument panel is receiving adequate battery voltage (12V) and has a solid ground connection when the ignition is turned on. If power is missing, trace the supply circuit and check relevant fuses/relays.
CAN Bus Test
Test the CLAAS vehicle CAN bus lines (CAN High and CAN Low) between the BDG and DBD modules. Verify continuity and check that the CAN bus termination resistance is correct (typically 60 ohms across the network).
Component Replacement/Repair
If the wiring, power, ground, and CAN bus integrity are all verified as good, the fault is an internal hardware failure within the DBD (A101) instrument panel itself. The cluster will need to be repaired by a specialist or replaced.
Clear Codes
After repair or replacement, clear the fault codes and cycle the ignition to verify that CAN communication is restored and the code does not return.

Note: Because these are expensive electronic components, several agricultural electronics specialists (such as Ilgenfritz Mechatronics and Breizelec) offer mail-in repair services specifically for LCD and CAN communication failures on these clusters.
BDG (A103) CAN Network Communication Module
Specific OEM part numbers vary heavily by exact chassis configuration. Search by the component designation "BDG A103" in the specific machine's parts catalog if the harness tests point to the BDG rather than the dashboard.
