This is a CAN bus communication timeout error indicating that the engine control unit (ENG A15) has stopped broadcasting its required data packets on the Powertrain CAN network. As a system response, the engine module and its associated functions may be lost or default to a degraded mode (such as dropping to idle speed or losing power management features).

   Verify Power and Ground to the Engine ECU

   Check the main battery supply (Terminal 30), ignition wake-up power (Terminal 15), and ground pins (Terminal 31) at the ENG (A15) module harness. The most common reason an ECU drops off the CAN bus is a loss of power or ground.

   Inspect Connectors

   Disconnect the 32-pin and 48-pin connectors at the ENG (A15) module. Inspect for moisture, corrosion, or backed-out pins, which are common in agricultural environments.

   With the batteries disconnected, measure the resistance across the CAN High and CAN Low pins on the Powertrain CAN bus. A healthy terminated CAN bus should read approximately 60 ohms.

   Trace the Powertrain CAN wiring between the ENG (A15) module and the BDG (A103) module. Look for chafing, pinch points, or melted insulation near the engine block or exhaust components.

   If the wiring harness, terminating resistors, power, and grounds all test perfectly, the internal CAN transceiver in either the ENG (A15) module or the BDG (A103) module has likely failed, requiring replacement and reprogramming of the faulty module.
