CLAAS 773Bh – Claas Eng A15 Engine Module: Temperature of cooled exhaust gases slightly high
Issue description
The temperature of cooled exhaust gases is slightly high, causing the engine calculator to reduce engine power to 95% of its nominal power. The power recovers at a rate of 5% per minute. This issue may be caused by a problem with the cooled exhaust gas temperature sensor or the cooling circuit.
Check the cause
The harness and its connectors
The general condition of the cooling circuit
The cooled exhaust gas temperature sensor (B221)
A possible short-circuit
Repair steps
Inspect
Check the harness and its connectors for damage, corrosion, or poor connections.
Inspect
Examine the general condition of the cooling circuit for leaks, blockages, or other issues.
Test
Test the cooled exhaust gas temperature sensor (B221) for proper function and signal output.
Inspect
Look for signs of a possible short-circuit in the affected circuit.
