CLAAS Id7743h / 7743h (636 06) – ENG (A15) - Engine Control Module: Intensity of the position sensor of the high pressure pump high.
Issue description
The current (intensity) or signal voltage from the high-pressure pump position sensor is too high. This typically indicates a short-circuit to power (12V/5V) in the sensor's wiring harness or an internal short within the sensor itself. The engine runs normally without considering the information delivered by the sensor in error. The engine control unit will default to using the crankshaft position sensor (B231) to determine the piston's position and manage engine speed.

Check the cause
Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harness connecting the high-pressure pump position sensor (Component B232) to the Engine ECU (A15).
Check for a short-circuit to power (which causes the 'intensity high' condition) or an open circuit.
Verify the sources of energy (supply voltage and ground) at the sensor connector.
Check the internal resistance of the B232 sensor to see if it falls outside of the specified OEM range.
Repair steps
Locate the Sensor
Locate the high-pressure pump position sensor (Component B232) on the engine timing cover / high-pressure fuel pump assembly.
Inspect the Harness
Disconnect the sensor and inspect the pins for corrosion, bent terminals, or moisture. Trace the wiring back to the ENG (A15) module looking for chafed wires shorting to a power source.
Test the Sensor
Using a multimeter, test the sensor's resistance. If the sensor is internally shorted, it must be replaced.
Replace the Sensor
If the wiring is intact and the sensor is deemed faulty, remove the mounting bolt securing the B232 sensor and pull it from the housing. Install the new sensor and torque the mounting bolt to specification.
Clear Codes
Reconnect the harness, turn the battery master switch on, and clear the fault codes from the tractor's diagnostic menu.
Test Drive
Start the engine and verify that the code does not return and that the engine timing/speed management operates correctly.
