CLAAS 7746h: Crankshaft Position Sensor Signal Invalid

Issue description

The crankshaft position sensor is not providing a valid signal to the engine calculator. As a result, the engine power is reduced by 20% per minute until it reaches 50% of its nominal power.

Check the cause

  1. The connection and wiring of the crankshaft position sensor

  2. The physical condition of the crankshaft position sensor

  3. The signal output from the crankshaft position sensor

Repair steps

  1. Inspect the wiring and connections of the crankshaft position sensor

    Check for loose, damaged, or corroded connections.
