CLAAS Id7756h / 7756h (652 05) – ENG (A15): Open circuit on the electronic injector of cylinder n°2
Issue description
Engine will run with difficulty and will misfire because the ignition of the injector in cylinder n°2 is inoperative.

Check the cause
Check the Engine Module ENG (A15): Ensure the module is receiving power and communicating properly.
Check the Electronic Injector (Y320-2): This is the specific component identifier for the cylinder 2 injector.
Inspect Wiring and Connections: Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring harness between the ENG (A15) module and the Y320-2 injector.
Test Component Resistance: Measure the resistance of the injector solenoid to confirm if the internal coil has failed (open circuit).
Check Energy Sources: Verify fuses, power supply, and ground connections to the engine module and injection system.
Repair steps
Safety First
Turn off the tractor, remove the key, and disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
Locate Components
Identify the ENG (A15) module and the electronic injector for cylinder 2 (designated as Y320-2 on the fuel rail).
Inspect the Harness
Disconnect the electrical connector at the cylinder 2 injector. Inspect the pins for corrosion, pushed-back terminals, or damage. Trace the wiring back to the ENG (A15) module looking for chafing or breaks.
Perform Continuity & Resistance Testing
Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the wires from the ECU harness to the injector connector. Measure the resistance across the two pins of the cylinder 2 injector. If the reading shows an open circuit (infinite resistance/OL), the injector has failed internally.
Repair or Replace
If the wiring is broken, repair the harness. If the injector fails the resistance test, replace the electronic fuel injector (Y320-2).
Reassembly and Clearing Codes
Install the new injector, reconnect the fuel lines and electrical harness. Reconnect the battery. Use the CEBIS panel or METADIAG diagnostic tool to clear the fault codes.
Test Run
Start the engine and verify that it runs smoothly without misfires and that the fault code does not return.
