CLAAS Id775Fh / 775Fh (654 02) – ENG (A15) - Engine Module: Reference of the injector of cylinder n°4 non valid.
Issue description
The calibration code or part number reference for the electronic fuel injector on cylinder #4 is invalid or missing. The engine control module requires specific calibration data (often printed on the injector itself) to balance fuel delivery properly. When this code is logged, the engine may run with difficulty, misfire, or run rough due to the invalid calibration of the cylinder #4 injector.

Check the cause
Check the Engine Module ENG (A15): Verify that the ECU software is up to date and check the compatibility of program versions and settings.
Verify Injector Calibration: Check the injector calibration code programmed into the ECU for cylinder #4 and ensure it matches the physical code printed on the installed injector (Y320-4).
Inspect the Electronic Injector (Y320-4): Check the physical condition of the injector on cylinder #4.
Harness and Continuity Checks: Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harness linking the Engine ECU to the cylinder #4 injector. Look for any short-circuits to ground/power or open circuits.
Electrical Testing: Check the resistance of the injector coil and verify the sources of energy (fuses, supply, and ground).
Repair steps
Read and Record Codes
Connect the diagnostic tool (e.g., CLAAS CDS) and verify the 654 02 fault code.
Verify the Injector Code
Read the calibration code physically stamped on the cylinder #4 fuel injector.
Reprogram the ECU
Enter the correct calibration code for cylinder #4 into the Engine ECU (ENG A15) using the diagnostic tool.
Inspect Wiring
If the ECU refuses the code or the fault persists, disconnect the battery and inspect the wiring harness between the ECU and the cylinder #4 injector for chafing, corrosion, or pin spread. Repair any wiring faults found.
Replace the Injector
If the wiring is intact, the ECU is functioning, and the calibration code is still flagged as invalid (or the injector has failed internally), remove and replace the cylinder #4 electronic fuel injector.
Calibrate the New Injector
After installing a new injector, you must program the new injector's specific calibration code into the Engine ECU.
Clear Codes and Test
Clear the fault codes and run the engine to ensure smooth operation and verify that the code does not return.
