CLAAS Id7769h / 7769h (656 02) – ENG (A15): Reference of the injector of cylinder n°6 non valid.

The engine control unit has detected an invalid or missing calibration code (often referred to as a QR code or trim code) for the electronic fuel injector installed in cylinder #6. The engine may run with difficulty, run rough, or misfire because the ECU cannot properly calculate the fuel delivery timing and volume for cylinder #6 due to the invalid calibration data.

   Check the Engine Module ENG (A15): Verify that the ECU is communicating properly and that its software/program versions are up to date.

   Check the Electronic Injector (Y320-6): Inspect the electronic injector on cylinder #6 for physical damage or wiring harness issues (short-circuits or open circuits).

   Verify Calibration Data: Use a diagnostic tool (such as CLAAS CDS or a compatible scanner like Texa) to read the injector calibration codes currently stored in the engine ECU. Compare the code stored for cylinder #6 with the physical alphanumeric code printed on the top of the injector itself.

   Connect Diagnostic Equipment

   Hook up your diagnostic scanner to the tractor's OBD/diagnostic port.

   Read and Record Codes

   Access the ENG (A15) module and navigate to the injector programming/calibration section.

   Reprogram the Injector Code

   If the code for cylinder #6 is missing, corrupted, or does not match the physical injector, manually enter the correct calibration code from the injector into the ECU.

   Replace the Injector (If Necessary)

   If the injector is mechanically or electrically faulty (or if the code will not save): Clean the area around the cylinder #6 injector. Remove the injector clamp retaining bolt and lift the clamp away. Disconnect the high-pressure fuel line and the electrical connector. Remove the faulty injector and discard the old sealing washer. Install the new injector with a new sealing washer and torque the retaining bolt to the specified value.

   Program the New Injector

   You must program the new injector's unique calibration code into the ENG (A15) module. Failure to do so will cause the Id7769h code to return and the engine to run poorly.

   Clear Codes and Test

   Clear the fault codes from the ECU, start the engine, and perform a test run to ensure smooth operation and verify that the code does not return.
