CLAAS 7772h – Claas Eng A15 Engine Module: Intake Air Temperature of the Turbocharger Excessively High
Issue description
The intake air temperature of the turbocharger is excessively high, causing the engine power to be reduced by 20% per minute until it reaches 50% of its nominal power. The power is recovered at a rate of 20% per minute once the issue is resolved.
Check the cause
The intake air temperature sensor (B1)
The air filter
The engine fan
The supercharging air circuit
Repair steps
Inspect the intake air temperature sensor (B1)
Verify that the sensor is properly connected and functioning. Check for any signs of damage or contamination.
Check the air filter
Ensure the air filter is clean and not clogged, as a restricted air filter can cause increased intake air temperature.
Examine the engine fan
Confirm that the engine fan is operating correctly and providing adequate cooling to the engine and turbocharger.
Inspect the supercharging air circuit
Look for any leaks, blockages, or damage in the supercharging air circuit that could affect the intake air temperature.
