Id7774h / 7774h (1347 03)

CLAAS Id7774h / 7774h (1347 03) – ENG (A15): Intensity of the high pressure pump solenoid valve high.

Issue description

The engine controller detects a problem in the circuit to the high-pressure fuel pump solenoid (Y344), indicating a short to battery voltage (shorted to power). This causes the engine to run abnormally.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 410
  • Arion 430
  • Arion 510
  • Arion 610
  • Arion 640
  • Arion 660

Check the cause

  1. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the Y344 solenoid valve to the ENG (A15) module, ensuring pins are seated correctly and not damaged.

  2. Test the wiring harness specifically for a short-circuit to battery voltage (battery +) or an open circuit.

  3. Measure the internal resistance of the high-pressure pump solenoid valve to ensure it is within spec.

  4. Check the sources of energy, including fuses, power supply, and ground connections.

  5. Check the component's operating conditions for mechanical seizing, extreme temperatures, or abnormal fuel pressures.

Repair steps

  1. Clear and Verify

Clear the error code using a diagnostic tool (like CLAAS Metadiag) and turn the starter switch to the 'ON' position. If the fault re-occurs immediately, it is an active electrical fault.

  2. Harness Repair

If a short-circuit to battery voltage is found during the multimeter diagnostic checks, repair or replace the damaged section of the wiring harness.

  3. Component Replacement

If the wiring is intact, the connector is secure, and the fault persists, the Y344 high-pressure pump solenoid valve has likely failed internally and must be replaced.

  4. ECU Verification

In rare cases where the wiring is perfect and a new solenoid does not clear the code, reload the engine software or replace the engine controller as a last resort.
