CLAAS Id77A1h / 77A1h (11) – HYD (A60): Valve 1 Instruction Message Not Received or Improbable

Issue description

A CAN bus communication error indicates the 'Instruction' message of valve 1 is not received or is improbable. The tractor's safety protocol forces electrodistributor 1 to return to neutral, disabling that specific hydraulic function.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 810
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 410
  • Arion 430
  • Arion 510
  • Arion 640

Check the cause

  1. Check the hydraulic CAN bus network wiring harness linking the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-1)

  2. Inspect harness connectors for corrosion, pushed pins, or moisture, and check for short-circuits or open circuits on the CAN lines

  3. Check the sources of energy (fuses, supply voltage, and ground) for the electrodistributor module (A105-1)

  4. Ensure there is no mechanical seizing, extreme temperatures, or abnormal pressure affecting the valve

Repair steps

  1. Read and Record

Note all error codes present on the tractor (via the CEBIS terminal or diagnostic tool). Analyze if other CAN bus or voltage codes are present that might be the root cause.

  2. Inspect Wiring

Disconnect the harness at the electrodistributor module (A105-1) and the HYD (A60) module. Use a multimeter to test for continuity, resistance, and shorts to ground/power on the CAN High and CAN Low wires.

  3. Test Power Supply

Turn the ignition on and verify that the electrodistributor module is receiving proper operating voltage (typically 12V) and has a clean ground.

  4. Software/Calibration Check

Check the compatibility of the program versions and settings. Recalibrate the hydraulic valves if a software update was recently performed.

  5. Component Replacement

If the wiring, power, and CAN network are intact, the internal driver or communication chip inside the electrodistributor module (A105-1) has likely failed. Replace the module.

  6. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system, operate the hydraulic valve 1, and test the tractor to ensure the anomaly does not return.

Parts you might need

(2)
  • Electrodistributor Module (Valve 1)

    A105-1

This is the electronic actuator head that mounts to the hydraulic valve block.

  • Hydraulic Control Module (ECU)

    HYD (A60)

Only replace if the main module is proven to not be sending the CAN instruction.
