CLAAS Id77A8h / 77A8h (21) – HYD (A60): Supply voltage is too low at the electrodistributor module

Issue description

The control unit is detecting an insufficient voltage level required to properly operate the hydraulic valve/electrodistributor.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 series
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850
  • Arion 400 series
  • Arion 500 series
  • Arion 600 series
  • Axion 900 series
  • Xerion
  • Lexion
  • Jaguar

Check the cause

  1. Check the power supply, ground connections, and relevant fuses for the electrodistributor module to ensure it is receiving adequate voltage

  2. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-1)

  3. Test the wiring for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits

  4. Check the internal resistance of the electrodistributor module

  5. Verify the component's operating conditions, checking for mechanical seizing, pressure issues, or temperature anomalies that might cause a voltage drop

Repair steps

  1. Identify and Isolate

Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze if another code might be generating this low-voltage anomaly.

  2. Visual Inspection

Inspect the wiring harness leading to the electrodistributor module (A105-1) for chafing, corrosion, or loose pins at the connector.

  3. Voltage Test

Using a multimeter, measure the supply voltage directly at the electrodistributor connector while the machine is keyed on. Compare this to the system voltage (12V).

  4. Repair Wiring/Fuses

If the voltage is low at the connector, trace the circuit back to the fuse box and the HYD (A60) module. Repair any damaged wires, clean corroded grounds, or replace blown/corroded fuses.

  5. Replace Component

If the wiring, fuses, and supply voltage from the harness are all verified as good, but the fault remains active, the electrodistributor module (A105-1) itself has likely failed internally and must be replaced.

  6. Clear and Retest

Clear all error codes from the system, then operate the tractor's hydraulics to ensure the anomaly does not reappear.
