CLAAS Id77B2h / 77B2h (43) – HYD (A60): Position sensor of valve 1 (internal) is faulty

The position sensor of valve 1 (internal) is faulty, with the system detecting a probable open circuit. As a safety and operational response to this fault, the system forces electrodistributor 1 to return to neutral, disabling the function of that specific hydraulic spool valve.

   Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the A105-1 electrodistributor module

   Check specifically for short-circuits or an open circuit in the wiring

   Check the sources of energy to the valve, including fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections

   Check the internal resistance of the valve's position sensor

   Check for mechanical seizing, extreme temperatures, or abnormal hydraulic pressure that could cause the valve drawer to fail to return or read incorrectly

   Document & Analyze

   Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze if another code (like a CAN bus or voltage error) is generating this anomaly.

   Visual Inspection

   Locate electrodistributor module 1 (A105-1) on the rear hydraulic block. Inspect the physical connector for pushed pins, corrosion, or water ingress.

   Electrical Testing

   Using a multimeter, verify that the valve is receiving proper operating voltage and has a solid ground. Test the signal wires back to the HYD (A60) module for continuity.

   Component Replacement

   Because the position sensor is internal to the electrodistributor module, if the wiring, power, and ground are intact, the sensor itself has failed. You must replace the entire electrodistributor module (spool valve 1).

   Calibration & Clearing

   After replacing the valve, check if compatibility settings or calibrations are required via the CLAAS diagnostic tool (CDS). Clear all error codes.

   Test Drive

   Operate the tractor and actuate hydraulic valve 1 to ensure the code does not return and the valve no longer defaults to neutral.
