CLAAS Id77B9h / 77B9h (14) – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Module: Valve 2 Configuration Message Format Error
Issue description
The 'Configuration' message from valve 2 is not in the right format (or is not received correctly over the CAN network). As a safety measure, electrodistributor 2 (Valve 2) automatically returns to the neutral position.
Applies to these machines
5 machines- Axion 800
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Arion 510-640
- Arion 410-430
Check the cause
Check the connectors and continuity of the harnesses linking the hydraulic module to the electrodistributor
Check for any short-circuits (to ground or 12V) or open circuits on the Hydraulic CAN bus
Check the sources of energy (fuses, power supply voltage, and ground connections) for the electrodistributor module (A105-2)
Check the hydraulic module HYD (A60) and the electrodistributor module (A105-2) for physical damage, mechanical seizing, or extreme operating conditions (pressure/temperature)
Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibration of the valve
Repair steps
Analyze Codes
Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze the interaction between them, as a primary CAN bus voltage error might be generating this specific configuration error.
Inspect Harness
Locate the electrodistributor module (A105-2) on the hydraulic valve block. Disconnect the harness and inspect the pins for corrosion, moisture, or pushed-back terminals.
Test CAN Communication
Using a multimeter or oscilloscope, verify the CAN High and CAN Low signals at the valve connector to ensure the HYD (A60) module is successfully broadcasting to the valve.
Verify Power
Ensure the valve is receiving proper 12V supply and has a clean ground.
Recalibrate / Update
If wiring and power are intact, attempt to recalibrate the hydraulic valves via the CEBIS terminal or CLAAS diagnostic tool. Ensure the software configuration matches the installed valve.
Replace Component
If the configuration message remains corrupted and wiring is verified good, the internal logic of the electrodistributor module (A105-2) has failed and the valve must be replaced.
Clear and Test
Clear all error codes from the HYD module memory, then operate the tractor's hydraulics to ensure the anomaly does not return.
