CLAAS 77BCh – HYD (A60): Spool Valve 2 Inactive Until Neutral

Electrohydraulic Spool Valve 2 (electrodistributor) is being held in an inactive state by the hydraulic control module as a programmed safety interlock. The system requires the control lever or switch for the '1 Line Command' to return to its neutral position before allowing Electrodistributor 2 to activate. This prevents unintended or conflicting hydraulic movements and is a mandatory operational requirement rather than a strict component failure.

   Verify that all hydraulic control levers, particularly the one for '1 Line Command', are in their neutral position. The fault may be appearing simply because the operator has not returned a lever to neutral before attempting to activate another function.

   Check the control lever for '1 Line Command' to ensure it is not physically sticking or failing to return to its neutral detent

   Inspect the electrical connectors on the electrodistributor module (A105-2) and the associated control lever/switch for corrosion, moisture ingress, or damaged pins

   Check the wiring harness for any signs of damage, chafing, or breaks between the control lever, the HYD (A60) module, and the electrodistributor

   Isolate faulty component

   Based on diagnostic checks, determine if the issue lies with the control lever/switch, the wiring, or the electrodistributor module itself.

   Replace faulty component

   Replace the control lever/switch if it is physically sticking or failing electrically. If the electrodistributor/spool valve has an internal short or open circuit, replace it.

   Clear fault codes

   Use a diagnostic tool to clear all fault codes from the HYD (A60) module.

   Test operation

   Operate the tractor and the hydraulic functions to ensure the fault does not reappear.
