CLAAS Id77C3h / 77C3h (31) – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic module: Power supply of valve 2 is too low (< 8 V)

Issue description

The system is detecting an insufficient voltage reaching the electrodistributor module for valve 2, which will prevent the valve from operating correctly.

Check the cause

  1. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the electrodistributor module (A105-2) to the HYD (A60) module

  2. Check for any short-circuits to ground or open circuits in the wiring

  3. Check the sources of energy, specifically the fuses, power supply, and ground connections for the electrodistributor module power supply (often labeled 'VALVE' in the fuse box)

  4. Check the internal resistance of the electrodistributor module (A105-2) to ensure the solenoid coil hasn't failed

  5. Check the component's operating conditions (e.g., pressure, temperature, or mechanical seizing of the valve drawer)

Repair steps

  1. Document Codes

Note all error codes present on the tractor to analyze if another code (like a main power supply or CAN bus error) is generating this fault.

  2. Test Voltage

Using a multimeter, test the voltage at the connector for valve 2 (A105-2) while the system is active. Confirm if the voltage is actually dropping below 8V.

  3. Inspect Wiring

Trace the wiring from the HYD (A60) module and the fuse panel to the A105-2 valve. Look for chafed wires, corroded pins, or loose grounds. Repair any damaged wiring or replace blown fuses.

  4. Replace Component

If the wiring, fuses, and power supply from the source are all delivering proper voltage but the fault persists (or if the valve's internal resistance is out of spec), replace the electrodistributor module (A105-2).

  5. Clear and Test

Clear all error codes from the system, then operate the tractor's hydraulics to ensure the anomaly does not appear again.
