CLAAS Id77C4h / 77C4h (32) – HYD (A60): Power supply of valve 2 is too high (> 36 V)
Issue description
This indicates an overvoltage condition on the circuit supplying power to the second hydraulic valve.
Applies to these machines
6 machines- Axion 800 series
- Axion 850
- Axion 840
- Axion 830
- Axion 820
- Axion 810
Check the cause
Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-2)
Test the wiring for any short-circuits to power (which would explain the >36V reading) or open circuits
Check the sources of energy, including fuses, main power supply lines, and ground connections
Check the component's resistance and adjustment (if applicable)
Verify the component's operating conditions, checking for mechanical seizing, extreme temperatures, or abnormal pressure
Repair steps
Document
Note all error codes currently present on the tractor.
Analyze
Identify the nature of each error code and analyze the interaction between them, as an overvoltage code might be the root cause generating secondary communication faults.
Test
Perform the multimeter tests and measurements outlined in the diagnostic checks to isolate whether the fault is in the wiring harness (short to power) or an internal short within the electrodistributor module itself.
Replace
If the wiring and grounds test good but the voltage reading remains out of spec at the module, replace the faulty electrodistributor module (A105-2).
Calibrate
Check if compatibility of program versions, settings, or calibration is required for the new valve.
Clear & Verify
Clear all error codes from the system, then operate the tractor to verify the anomaly does not return.
Parts you might need
(1)Electrodistributor module (A105-2) / Hydraulic spool valve / Hydraulic lift valve
OEM part numbers vary by exact tractor configuration. Order through a CLAAS dealer referencing the tractor's serial number.
