CLAAS Id77C9h / 77C9h (82) – HYD (A60): Valve 2 drawer is not in neutral upon activation / Electrodistributor 2 remains at neutral

Issue description

A mechanical or electrical issue with the auxiliary hydraulic system's second valve, indicating the spool (drawer) inside the electro-hydraulic valve is either mechanically stuck, failing to actuate, or the position sensor is not reading its movement correctly.

Applies to these machines

  • Axion 800 series
  • Axion 810
  • Axion 820
  • Axion 830
  • Axion 840
  • Axion 850

Check the cause

  1. Check the connectors and the continuity of the wiring harnesses linking the HYD (A60) module to the Electrodistributor module (A105-2)

  2. Check for any short-circuits or open circuits in the wiring

  3. Verify the sources of energy by checking relevant fuses, 12V supply voltage, and ground connections

  4. Check the internal electrical resistance of the electrodistributor solenoids

  5. Inspect for mechanical seizing of the valve spool, hydraulic pressure issues, or extreme temperature conditions causing binding

  6. Check the compatibility of the program versions, settings, and calibration of the hydraulic module

Repair steps

  1. Document error codes

Note all error codes present on the tractor terminal (CEBIS) to see if a CAN-bus or voltage error is causing this code as a secondary symptom.

  2. Isolate electrical issues

Perform the electrical multimeter tests (continuity, resistance, voltage) on the A105-2 valve harness.

  3. Inspect valve

If electrical tests pass, remove the electrodistributor valve 2 (A105-2) and inspect the spool (drawer) for debris, scoring, or mechanical binding.

  4. Replace valve

If the valve is mechanically seized or the internal position sensor/solenoid has failed, replace the Electrodistributor module (A105-2).

  5. Calibrate and clear codes

After replacement, clear all error codes from the HYD module.

  6. Test operation

Operate the auxiliary hydraulics to ensure the valve actuates and returns to neutral properly without triggering the anomaly.

Parts you might need

(1)
  • Electrodistributor module (Valve 2) / Auxiliary Hydraulic Spool Valve

Component Designation: A105-2. When ordering, you must specify that it is for 'Valve 2' (A105-2) on the auxiliary hydraulic stack.
