CLAAS Id77CEh / 77CEh (14) – HYD (A60) - Hydraulic Module: The "Configuration" message from valve 3 is not in the right format
Issue description
The system cannot verify the configuration of valve 3, causing the tractor's safety protocol to force electrodistributor 3 to return to neutral, rendering that specific hydraulic remote/function inactive.
Applies to these machines
8 machines- Axion 800 Series
- Axion 810
- Axion 850
- Arion Series
- Arion 410
- Arion 430
- Arion 510
- Arion 640
Check the cause
The Hydraulic CAN bus network for connectors, continuity, short-circuits, or open circuits on the CAN lines
The electrodistributor module (A105-3) physical connection and operating conditions
The hydraulic module HYD (A60) to verify the main hydraulic ECU is communicating properly
Power and Ground sources (fuses, power supply, and ground) to the electrodistributor module
Repair steps
Read and Record
Note all error codes present on the tractor. Analyze if there are other CAN bus or voltage-related codes (e.g., Id77D2h for low voltage) that might be causing this configuration error.
Inspect Wiring
Visually inspect the wiring harness connecting the HYD (A60) module to the electrodistributor module (A105-3) (Valve 3). Disconnect the plugs and check for pushed pins, corrosion, or moisture.
Test CAN Bus & Power
Using a multimeter, verify that the electrodistributor module (A105-3) is receiving proper operating voltage and solid ground. Test the CAN High and CAN Low lines for proper resistance (typically 60 ohms across the network) and ensure there are no shorts to ground or power.
Software/Calibration Check
Check if the tractor requires a software update or if compatibility of program versions between the HYD module and the valve needs to be re-calibrated via the CLAAS diagnostic tool (CDS).
Replace Component
If the wiring, power, and software are all correct, the internal logic of the electrodistributor module (A105-3) has failed and the valve module must be replaced.
Clear and Test
Clear all error codes from the system. Operate the tractor and actuate valve 3 to ensure it no longer drops to neutral.
Parts you might need
(2)Electrodistributor Module / Valve 3 (CCN: A105-3)
Controls the specific hydraulic remote slice
Hydraulic Module ECU (CCN: HYD A60)
Main hydraulic controller, rarely the culprit for a single valve configuration error unless multiple valves drop out
